PACT REPRESENTS ALENTEJO AT WEB SUMMIT ’23

From November 13 to 16, 2023, Lisbon hosted another edition of the Web Summit, the world’s largest technology and innovation event.
Being the only entity in Alentejo with face-to-face participation in the event, PACT represented the region, as it did last year. At the invitation of KPMG Portugal, which has a strong presence at the Web Summit and has been contributing to the success and growth of the event for more than 10 years, PACT joined the Booth of the multinational consultancy, which inaugurated on September 15 its Low Code Technological Hub at PACT.
Participation in the Web Summit was an opportunity for PACT to present its vision and purpose, make known its growth plans and show how it is transforming the Alentejo through its projects and regional ecosystem. In the PACT space, visitors were also able to view the new PACT buildings in digital and immersive format, through Virtual Reality glasses.
The event was also an occasion for reunions with PACT partners and colleagues, as well as to make new contacts, namely with companies and startups worldwide and with exponential growth, establishing connections with important players in the sectors where PACT operates.
This edition of the Web Summit, along with the development of companies and startups, focused on the use of Artificial Intelligence and the ways in which it will impact the future of society, through, for example, software and intelligent language models, which are currently beginning to be widely used.
According to the event’s official sources, this year’s edition reached a record number of participating startups: more than 2,600. Over the four days, the event welcomed more than 70,000 visitors from more than 180 countries, featured more than 800 speakers, brought together more than 900 investors and involved more than 320 partners.
