Alentejo Science and Technology Park Open Day: a day of expanding horizons and possibilities

On October 13th, PACT – Alentejo Science and Technology Park will, for the second consecutive year, open its doors to the community. An initiative that has the involvement and presence of more than 20 companies and organizations and a talk program with a panel of luxury speakers.

Gustavo Carona, Anesthesiologist and Intensivist, Tarantini, Former professional footballer, Speaker and Author, Joana Garoupa, COO of Omnicom Media Group, João Mil-Homens, Director of Sustainability and Innovation of the José de Mello Group and Jacinto Lucas Pires, Writer, Director and Director, are some of the speakers who are part of the PACT Open Day talk program, moderated by Diana Duarte, Author of the program “A minha geração” (RTP3), and where topics within the areas of Leadership, Communication, Entrepreneurship and Management will be discussed.

This year, in addition to the talks, and the demonstration stands present, there will be two workshops on Intellectual Property and Digital Marketing. Sessions led by experts – Luís Caixinhas, Official Industrial Property Agent/ Patent Engineer at Inventa and Ana Mendes, Digital Marketing Consultant and Trainer – which aim to give concrete tips to participants to increase their chances of success in these areas.

Soumodip Sarkar, Executive President of PACT, says that “the Open Day is a meeting point for all those who are interested in the areas of innovation, technology and entrepreneurship” and reinforces that “it is a good opportunity to create connections between companies, students, academia and entrepreneurs”.

The University of Évora, the Polytechnic Institutes of Beja, Portalegre and Santarém, CEIIA, Aernnova, Kemet, TE Connectivity, KPMG, Future Compta, Two Impulse and IG&H are some of the companies and organizations present. The full program and registration are available on the PACT website.

The PACT Open Day aims to make the PACT ecosystem known to the community, in particular entrepreneurs, secondary and higher education students, as well as to show the best that is done in terms of innovation and technology in the region.
