Open Day: a meeting point for all those interested in the areas of innovation, technology and entrepreneurship

The first edition of the PACT Open Day took place on November 23rd and the balance could not be more positive: 14 speakers, about 30 companies present and more than 300 participants, including secondary and higher education students, researchers, businessmen and entrepreneurs.

The PACT Open Day was developed with the objectives of making the PACT ecosystem known to the community, in particular entrepreneurs, secondary and higher education students, as well as to show the best that is done in terms of innovation and technology in the region.

For Soumodip Sarkar, Executive President of PACT, the Open Day aimed to be “the meeting point for all those who are interested in the areas of innovation, technology and entrepreneurship” and fulfilled its purpose. With more than 300 participants, there were several moments of networking and discussion of ideas promoted during the day.

Along with demonstration stands from several companies and entities, namely the University of Évora, Polytechnic Institutes of Santarém and Portalegre, CEIIA, Embraer, Kemet, TE Connectivity, KPMG, Two Impulse and IG&H, among others, the event featured a talk program with a panel of luxury speakers. Rui Gonçalves, Partner at KPMG Portugal, Cláudia Figueira, Head of Innovation at Grupo Nabeiro, Miguel Laffan, Executive Chef with 1 Michelin Star and Henrique Gouveia e Melo, Vice-Admiral of the Portuguese Navy were some of the names that passed through the PACT auditorium.
